When Donna Karan launched her first women's wear collection in 1985, she said that her goal was  "to design modern clothes for modern people". This sensational vintage late 1980's coat is a perfect example of Karan's ability to design timeless pieces that retain their modernity.

We are absolutely obsessed with this colorful patchwork style coat! There are square blocks of warm colors in shades of red, rust / orange, yellow, brown and black. One side of the coat is in a luxurious shearling with black leather outlining the color blocks, and the other is in a cozy faux fur. The cuffs and collar reveal the reverse fabric of the coat, giving it a nice textural contrast.

This coat is one of those pieces that come along only once in a while and we have never seen another one like it!
